Are you filled with the Holy Spirit?

"When the day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord, in one place. 2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting."  Acts 2:1-2   NKJV

Notice two things here, (1) Of 'One Accord', (2) ‘They were in one place.’ This is important to us flowing in the Holy Spirit.
To be in 'One Accord' is to be together. This is the hallmark of fellowship (in the Greek this means Koinonia where each believer is cemented to each other and to the Lord Jesus). This type of fellowship changes lives and situations. Being baptised in the Holy Spirit is the same, one is joined or cemented together with the Holy Spirit. In other words, you are one. When the Holy Spirit speaks, you recognise this and are guided the right way. You abide in Him and He in you and if you stay this way, He will guide you. He will show you how to approach situations and will put the right words in your mouth when, you don't know what to say.
To be in 'One Place' means a togetherness and when believers are like this, they are a force to be reckoned with. This is how you are when the Holy Spirit dwells within you. When you were born again, you received forgiveness, Jesus came into your heart and you
received the Holy Spirit but not the fullness of His power. This comes when a person is baptised in the Spirit, not baptised in water, as some people think. Being baptised in water is the symbolic exercise of belonging to Jesus by dying to self and being raised into a new life in Jesus. Being baptised in the Spirit is being filled with the Holy Spirit's power so that, you can operate in this power.

When you are baptised in the Holy Spirit, you will speak and perform things that God wants - a power the devil will hate. However, if you don't keep this relationship steady, you will lose hold of it. Put it like this, a car needs a service on a regular basis, if it doesn't have one, pretty soon it is going to stop working. Do you get the idea? Therefore, keep your relationship with the Holy Spirit razor sharp and you will see wonders ahead. With the Holy Spirit, you will have access to the gifts and fruit of the Spirit and the ability to speak in tongues, a heavenly language that the devil does not understand.
Be prepared though, if you leave out one chink in the hedge of protection around you and leave one piece of God's Armour off, watch out because the devil is going to have a heyday with a full-scale attack. Be careful here.

If you want the baptism of the Spirit, ask God to give you this. There is no set formula. Just ensure that you have no unconfessed sin, and by faith, receive this gift, the evidence being, you will probably speak in a very strange tongue. Don't be afraid of this - encourage it and then, allow the Holy Spirit to slowly fill you with His other gifts.

If you want to be baptised in the Holy Spirit, pray this prayer:
'Heavenly Father, I come to You in Jesus' name. Today, I ask You to fill me with Your Holy Spirit, to baptise me in His fire, and to clothe me in His Power. Amen'.

If you are not born again, here below is a prayer of salvation:

'Lord Jesus, I have sinned and I ask you to forgive me and be my Lord and Saviour. Please come into my heart, fill me with Your Spirit and give me a brand new start today.

In Jesus' Name. Amen'
